Register for NAB Internet Banking:
Before registering NBA Internet Banking, you’ll need two things, first is your ID. You can find this on the back of your NAB card or it may have been given to you in a branch.
Second is either your mobile phone if you’re registered for SMS security or your mobile phone if you’ve provided it to us previously or your NAB Telephone Banking password or your temporary password (issued at a branch). And then create your new NAB Internet Banking password and enter it into the relevant field.
Login to NAB Internet Banking:
The login process verifies your identity using your Identification Number and Internet Banking password. For this reason, you should keep your ID and Password confidential to ensure the security of your transactions. You can log in from the NAB’s homepage and click on Login at the top right-hand corner of the homepage screen.
NAB Internet Banking Security:
NAB Internet Banking provides customers with a secure transaction environment. Standard security measures include:
– Validating your NAB Identification Number (NAB ID) and validating your NAB Internet Banking Password on the login
– Encrypting the information transmitted between you and the NAB
– SMS Security (you will need to register for this service)
– The option to lock your Internet Banking Password
– Protection of your personal information within Internet Banking
SMS Security provides extra security protection for:
– External transactions to a non-linked account
– External transactions to another financial institution in Australia and selected overseas countries
– BPAY® payments
– Your personal information held within NAB Internet Banking.
Once you are registered for SMS Security you will receive a unique one time SMS code to your nominated mobile phone when you attempt to make one of the protected payment types listed above. The code is randomly generated and is sent to your mobile phone free of charge via SMS.
You then enter the code within Internet Banking when prompted to authenticate and complete the payment instruction. This service is currently being offered at no additional cost to you.
While using NAB Internet Banking, you can print any screen displaying information if you are not in the process of creating or modifying (I.e. the Print link will be disabled when a function is in create or modify mode).
Clicking the Help link at the top of the screen opens the Online Help window to the topic associated with the screen you are on. The Help window can be minimized, maximized, or moved as you like. Help is a useful tool to learn about NAB’s Internet Banking services.
Every registered NAB Internet Banking user is set a maximum amount of funds they can transfer on any given day to non-linked accounts. You must be registered for SMS Security to be eligible to apply for a daily limit amount greater than $2,500.
