Steps 1 – Make Your Application

Step 2 – Application Process
- The admissions Team will review your application.
- University will send you an offer letter that will list any outstanding conditions. University will remove any conditions that have already been met. If they think the course is not right for you, they will suggest an alternative.
- If they found any queries about your application, their Admissions Team will contact you for further information.
Step 3 – Accepting Your Place
To accept your place on the course you will need to meet all the remaining conditions, including payment of the deposit/registration fee or proof of government sponsorship.
Only once all conditions have been met, can your place be confirmed; although once the deposit is paid university will hold a place for you.
Please note that if you require a visa to study with LSBU, you may need to provide additional evidence to comply with the visa regulations in the country of study.

Step 4 – Confirming Your Place
Once you have paid your deposit and met all the conditions of the offer, LSBU will confirm your place and send you a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) or a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) if you do not need a CAS.
If you need a visa, you will need to use your CAS/ CoE to support your visa application. Please note a CAS can only be used 3 months before the start of the course.

Step 5 – Applying For A Visa
You will then need to apply for a visa if you require one to study in the UK. It is your responsibility to obtain a visa before you travel to join the course.
If you do not have a valid visa, you will not be able to join the course so please make sure you apply as soon as possible. Find out more about the UK visa application process.
Step 6 – Arrival
You will need to pay at least the first term’s tuition fees before you begin you’re programmed of study at ONCAMPUS.
You should arrive on the weekend before the arrival date; please check your CAS statement or Confirmation of Enrolment for further details.

Application status
Once you have applied you will normally receive a response within three working days. If you do not meet the allocation criteria or hold a conditional offer on an LSBU course, you may be required to wait until late August/September before we are able to process your application.
However, the Accommodation Service will contact you if this is the case.
Only our Accommodation Service can make you an offer of a place in one of our halls of residence. If your application is successful, we’ll send you an email.
Accepting Your Accommodation Offer
Please accept your accommodation offer within seven days to avoid your offer being withdrawn.
You can accept your offer through the Online Accommodation Application System.
Please have a payment card ready to pay the £300 room-booking fee during the process. Your accommodation offer is not secured until the room booking fee payment and online acceptance process has been completed.
Once you’ve accepted your offer you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need to move in!
First payment
You’ll need to pay the first installment of your residence fees before or when you arrive at your accommodation.
You can pay online, via a bank transfer, or in person. Find out more about residence fee payments in the Accommodation section of the student portal MyLSBU.
If you have a Student Loan you will be required to make a minimum payment of six weeks of residence fees on or before the start of the Accommodation Agreement, with the balance due when you receive your Student Loan.
